Chocolate Zucchini Vital Proteins Smoothie {Paleo}

If you're a chocoholic like me, chocolate for breakfast is totally going to be your jam too with this Paleo Chocolate Zucchini Vital Proteins Smoothie. This superfood hit is so chocolaty you notice nothing!
Serves: 2
  • 1 small zucchini, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Powder (unflavored)
  • 1 cup of frozen mixed berries (I used strawberries, wild blueberries, and raspberries)
  • 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • 2 drops liquid stevia (I used Nu Naturals)
  • 1½ - 2 cups unsweetened coconut milk (liquid amount depends on desired consistency)
  • optional: ⅛ teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  1. In a high-speed blender mix the milk with the frozen berries until well blended.
  2. Then add remaining ingredients and blast until WELL blended.
  3. Don't use all the milk at once. Start with 1 cup and keep pouring until you get your desired consistency.
  4. Once fully blended add 1 cup of ice and blast again. Best served super icy!
  5. Top with crushed frozen raspberries
If you are using frozen fruit and veggies you will need closer to the 2 cups of plant-based milk. But if you use all non-frozen you will need less milk. And if you use a combination of frozen vs. not frozen, the ration of milk will be less as well. Pay attention to the thickness as you make your smoothie and use less liquid if you like a creamy smoothie.
