Chocolate Orange Nachos

These Chocolate Orange Nachos are sure to satisfy even the strongest sugar cravings and are an amazing kid-friendly gluten-free treat that is naturally vegan.  This snack can be made in under 11 minutes and is super healthy too!

Equipment

  • microwave or double boiler

Ingredients

  • 2 navel oranges, peeled
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips vegan and gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds

Instructions

  • Peel oranges and add ½ tablespoon each of chia and hemp seeds in a bowl and set aside.
  • In the microwave melt chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl and melt on high at 15-minute intervals {total: up to 1 minute}, mixing along the way. Once melted add the coconut oil and mix well until blended.
  • Drizzle melted chocolate all over oranges and add remaining chia and hemp seeds on top.
  • Serve immediately using toothpicks.

Notes

If you can't have chocolate don't fret my pet - use gluten-free carob. That works too!
